Research

Dr. Sanjeev has big stint in research not only as a Research Scholar, but also as Research Supervisor of Ph.D.

  • He did Research on the “Socio-Economic Conditions of Child Labour in India” for the degree of Ph.D. awarded by Kanpur University. 
  • This research work covered the study of  

(a) Status of Child Labour in India 

(b) Child Labour Legislations and Issues 

(c) Policies and Programmes for Child Labour 

(d) Characteristics of Child Labour Employment 

(e) Wages and Earnings of Child Workers 

(f)  Working Conditions and Welfare Amenities 

(g) Social and Demographic Characteristics 

(h) Economic and Living Conditions.

The research study was carried out in five industries, where child labour is found predominantly; namely

 (a) Glass  industry in  Ferozabad 

(b) Carpet industry in  Bhadohi  and  Mirzapur  

(c) Lock-making industry  in  Aligarh 

(d) Brassware  industry in Moradabad 

(e) Gem and Stone Polishing industry in Jaipur

The study included a survey   of child workers, both male as well as female, and their parents together with employers drawn equally from these industries.

Research Supervision 

He also supervised/ supervising the following researches for Ph.D.

  • A Critical Study of the “Over the Counter Exchange of Indian” on which degree of Ph.D. in Commerce was awarded to Arvind Kumar by the Kanpur University.
  • A research Study on “Management of Merchant Banking Companies in India” on which degree of Ph.D. in Management was awarded to Atul Asthana by the Kanpur University.
  • Research of Mrs. Archana Parvatikar for the Degree of Ph.D. from Mewat University, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
  • Research of Ms. Preeti Sanal with UPES University, Dehradun on Mergers & Acquisitions in Petroleum University. (Aborted).
  • Research of Ms. Sangeeta Gulati on “The Impact of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2010 on Business in India.” In IILM University.
