His Family
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar comes from a very simple family.
Parents
His Father, Late Sri Bhagwati Prasad Awasthee, had done M.A. (Ancient Indian History) , L.T. and Diploma in ELT. He was Lecturer of History in BVIC, Kanpur. He was a dedicated Scout and remained as District Organising Commissioner in for many year in Kanpur itself.
His Mother, Late Smt. Shiv Pyari Devi, was a Vidushi (equivalent to Graduation at that time. She had good knowledge of Sanskrit, Hindi Literature and Astrology. She had deep interest in music and used to play Violin and sing classical songs as well.
His Second Mother Late Smt Pushpa Devi was BTC and Served as Head Master/Mistress in the Basic Education Department of the Government of UP.
Siblings
He has Four Sisters namely; Shalini, Sarika, Swarnima and Smita, who are happily married and have blissful life with their respective spouse.
Marriage
He is married to Dr, Manorama. She is M.A. (Hindi & Education), B.Ed. and Ph.D.. She is an Educationist, Teacher and Author. Her books written in Hindi include-Atal Bihari: Ek Viral Vyaktitva, Nagarjun and Kabir. She is also Director in Many Companies and Chief Executive Officer in India Netbooks Pvt. Ltd.
Children
Dr. Sanjeev and Manorama have three children:
Dr. Niti Vanee their eldest daughter earned a Degree of PhD. From USA and having her own Genetic Testing. She is married to Dr. Pramod Mishra, Ph.D. (USA), an Immunologist.
Their younger daughter Ms Shubhra Manni is MBA in Corporate Strategy from UK and MBA in Business Finance from USA. She is a Cyber Security specialist. She is married to Sri Piyush Shukla, MTech from USA and now an Investment Banker.
Tanuj Siddharth, their son did M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and is known for invention of Gesture Control System in Robots. He is a Product Development Engineer in USA > He is married to Ludimylla Calomeno, an MBA and vgy Operations Manager with an Automotive Components’ company.
